Project Profile:

Indianapolis LISC launched the Great Indy Neighborhoods Initiatives (GINI), a citywide collaboration that promotes a comprehensive approach to healthy communities. In January 2007, convening organizations in six demonstration neighborhoods began outreach to neighborhood stakeholders in advance of a comprehensive quality of life planning process. Indianapolis LISC has raised nearly $2 million to provide demonstration neighborhoods with funding and technical assistance to support stakeholder engagement, quality of life planning, and organizational development. The City of Indianapolis, the Central Indiana Community Foundation, and the United Way are linking their own strategic initiatives to the GINI program.
